Sophie Phillips is an enthusiastic young planner with previous experience working for a private consulting firm in NSW. After graduating from the University of Queensland, Sophie began her career as a Graduate Planner for King & Campbell (K&C) in Port Macquarie.

Through private consulting, Sophie has had a broad experience providing town planning advice and preparing applications on a range of development proposals. This includes experience in providing development application and planning advice on small to large scale developments. Sophie has a thorough understanding of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, State Environmental Planning Policies, and Local Environmental Plans from her experience in NSW.

Sophie has recently joined the GPC office and is developing her skills and understanding of the Queensland planning framework, having assisted the GPC team in the preparation of pre-lodgement correspondence, planning reports, and property advice.

Sophie can provide advice and input on the following development matters:

  • preparation of development application for reconfiguring a lot, educational establishment, and character house

  • preparation of pre-lodgement correspondence

  • preparation of preliminary planning advice reports
