Dirk van der Kamp is a senior planner in the GPC office with nearly 10 years’ experience, working in both the private and public sector. Dirk is a highly motivated and passionate town planner focused on forging strong working partnerships with clients, other consultants and local government assessment managers to achieve excellent outcomes.
Dirk’s ability to work collaboratively is demonstrated through his skill set to forge strong working partnerships with members of his project team and clientele base. Dirk has a strong understanding of the development industry and of the planning legislations that apply to the preparation, lodgement, management and assessment of development applications.
Before joining GPC in 2017, Dirk worked at Moreton Bay Regional Council for four years. This laid the foundation for his strong understanding of the development industry and of the planning legislation that applies to the preparation, lodgement, management and assessment of development applications.
Dirk has particular experience with development applications for:
multiple dwellings
reconfiguring a lot
retail and commercial uses including shopping centres
not-for-profit community uses and education establishments
industry uses
outdoor and sport recreation facilities
new dwelling houses and alterations or additions to existing dwellings.
Other capabilities include pre-purchase investigations, highest and best use land reports, due diligence reports and general planning advice to support a range of private and public sector proposals.
Dirk also provides input on strategic planning and policy projects within the GPC office.
Dirk is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
