Luke Butler is a Senior planner in our office with over 15 years’ experience in the development industry. Luke has spent the past 10 years working as a planner and project manager with previous experience connected with survey drafting and urban design for land subdivision.
Luke is committed to supporting his clients’ needs and has successfully delivered across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Luke has an excellent working knowledge of the Planning Act 2016 and Economic Development Act 2012 and has experience working across a range of local government and priority development areas. Luke is highly motivated and maintains a keen interest in research and development and has contributed to eight high-quality research articles published in leading academic journals.
Since working at GPC, Luke has provided input on several strategic planning projects including the preparation and peer review of planning scheme provisions and local plans. He also has also managed complex development applications and Ministerial Infrastructure Designation requests.
Luke can provide advice and input on the following development matters:
the preparation and management of development applications including large-scale master planned estates
the preparation and management of requests and amendments to Ministerial Infrastructure Designations
the preparation and management of road closure applications
due diligence and site selection reports
Luke is a full member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
